Naughton Wins LOORRS Challenge Cup
12/15/2011Rob Naughton rode Razr SCR tires to victory in the Lucas Oil Off Road Challenge Cup, held December 11 in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Cup featured races between drivers of different classes, with Pro 2 and Pro 4 drivers squaring off in pursuit of the $30,000 top prize. After two separate mishaps forced restarts of the race, Naughton moved from his previous fifth place position to the lead, becoming the first Pro 2 driver ever to win the Challenge Cup. He was joined on the podium by Pro 2 and Pro Lite champion Brian Deegan, who took second place in the Cup and earned a $15,000 purse.
