RPM’s Rookstool 3rd at Endurocross Round 3
8/30/2010Kevin Rookstool rode his Maxxcross SI tires to third place at Round 3 of the hotly contested AMA Endurocross series. The race, which features obstacles including sand, logs, rocks, boulders and waterholes, was held August 27 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rookstool, of RPM/KTM Racing Team Maxxis, said his Maxxis products have come through for him throughout the season. "I have run the same Maxxis front and rear SI tires at Vegas, Oklahoma and Indy. The tires get great traction and take a long time to wear out," he said. "What a great feeling to get my first Endurocross podium. I'm starting to get used to Endurocross and my RPM/KTM Racing Team Maxxis KTM 300. I can’t wait for Round 4 in Washington.”
Rookstool has made the main event at all three 2010 rounds and is currently seventh in points.
Another Maxxis-sponsored rider also turned in a top-ten performance at Round 3; Jamie Lanza took eighth place and sits tenth in the points standings.
